I have 400 pounds of once fired green tip 5.56 brass

What is the best metal recycle place in orange county (area) that pays the highest doller per pound.

I am curious as to why you asked like this...

I mean, all you needed to ask was who was the highest paying recycler in OC.

This is kinda an insult to our inteligence, intelligents, inteligance, smartiness.

So you cleverly disguised an ad telling folks that you want to sell your brass here on calguns. Why do that man?

Ya i figured 60-80 bucks per 1k brass but sounds like alot of effort. I posted in the ammo / reloading section and few bites...

you could probably sell more than 1k at a time. re: you could probably move it all in a few transactions. Also; if it were cheap enough people would start offering to meet on your terms (place of your choice whenever was good for you).

Sell it here by lbs not per K that way all you do is throw it in a bag on a scale and ship out.

He probably actually goes to the range and shoots. 5.56 is the one case that is overly abundant. Folks that shoot on a regular basis probably have a few thousand of those BB gun sized cases if they look under their seat cushions.

Load up a bunch of large flat rate boxes, and list them at $90 shipped. Slap a label on it and send them off and you'll keep about $75 per box. That should end up being more than a recycler will pay you, a good deal for a calgunner, and not too much effort on your part.

If you do this, make sure you put the brass in garbage bags and tape them well. I sent off some brass to be processed and this is how it arrived.

He'd clear it all out in a week at 2000, $100 shipped to your door.

In the Bay Area its $1-1.50 per pound.

$600 scrap vs $1740 once fired, the difference seems worth the effort.

Or maybe blow it out for $35/1k.

That's about what I am seeing in SD from a scrap yard... About $1.25 to $1.50 per lb. The most I ever got from them was $1.75

It would be a shame to see all that nice brass to go a scrap yard. Just throw up some competitive prices OP, and move it out quick.

$60/k is what my local range charges for mixed range .223

You want to give me a good price for 5-10k pieces, ill take em off ur hands.

Honestly, the going price is around $45/k.

But the scrap yard is about $1.50/pd which is significantly less. If you really want to move it, post it at good price and you will get the hits.

That's about what I was paying per 1000... before all that panic action where prices became seriously inflated.
