    12GA Shotgun shell pricing

What would you all consider a "good price" on 12gauge buckshot, and 12 gauge slug shells, respectively?

Just curious what everyone thinks is a good price for each of these, mostly for range/plinking/fun.

For instance, I know a good price on 9mm ammunition is around 23cents to 25cents per round, and a good price on .223 ammunition is around 32-35 cents per round. I usually jump on this pricing and buy a couple thousand rounds when I can find it at these prices.

Can you give me some information on pricing for slugs and buckshot rounds? What would you recommend for "plinker/fun" ammo of each type, and what is a good price I should be looking for on this stuff?

I am not much help but I start paying attention when:

    Buckshot <$0.40/round
    Slug <$0.50/round

Of course I man looking for main stream manufacturers. For example, it should not be too hard to round up both those from Rio.

Edited to add: These prices do not include shipping to destination.

      Those would be great prices^^

Considering shipping is a lot for 12g, I consider <.75 for buck and <.99 for slugs "good".

Probably need to clarify whether we are talking purchase price including shipping or excluding shipping.

I think excluding shipping is probably the most comparable way of doing this

You have to factor shipping in, doesn't do you any good to find shells @$.35 shipping is gonna cost an arm&leg.

Usually when a noncontributing (redundant I know) jr member comes in here and asks folks to be little price check fairies for them it is because they are about to turn around and sell off their ammo and are too lazy to go to gunbroker or elsewhere and look for themselves at the going prices.

SOMETIMES they think they found a great deal and want to move on it before it is gone.

IF you are the FIRST type then I have no answer for you except to point to the door... (because I aint no price chekking bizitch!)

IF you are the second type and wants to buy some, then I ask you this, WHAT do you feel okay with buying? Ultimately who cares how good the price is, DO YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT PAYING THAT MUCH? And if you can make that purchase and feel good about it based on what you have seen already, then I say go for it but if you are doubtful and have second thoughts then hold off and shop around a bit more and if you lose out then you lose out, so what, ammo will come around again...

I get whatever ammo I want at wholesale prices so I am wrekt in that I can not buy ammo anymore UNLESS it is 12GA or something that I do not reload for. heh...

Today I walked by 8 cases of CBEE .22 by remington and did not even care to take a second look. Of course I also saw about 2 cases of 525 packs, but did not care to look at the prices we are putting out.
