I put 2 grains of bullseye in my 91/30 mosin nagant just for kicks. Used a 185grain bullet. Never had a squib. I think you can go pretty low with bullseye

Crazy, but only 3tenths more, 5.0, pushes a230gr 45acp plated just fine

So when you guys say this load or that load shoots well. What kind of groupings are you getting? And at what distance?

                I loaded 4.6gr of Bullseye under Xtreme 230gr for 45acp and couldn't get any better groups than 3" @ 25yards benched. 5grs of HP38 under Xtreme 200gr SWC couldn't group under 6"at 50 yards. Same for the 115gr 124gr 9mms.

Am I expecting too much of Xtreme?

Btw, 45acp loads were shot out of HK USP Elite that shoots 1.25" groups at 25yds with Nosler 185hp and a 1.5" @ 25yds Colt Gold Cup

                      That's pretty good at 25yds. I generally shoot at 10-15 and shoot 1" groups with a 4" XD40, Sig P226, and Kimber 1911. Similar loading to what you mentioned. 4.7gr for 9, 5.4 for 40, and 4.9 for 45acp

It sounds like a lot of people shoot some real fluff rounds. Maybe this is why folks think 9mm is underpowdered?

Xtreme is more known for value than performance.

For 9mm I use 4.5gr of BE with 124gr Berry's RN 1.13 OAL. Works well in all my 9mm pistols.

I treat xtreme like lead. Quality and relatively cheap for range fodder. Plus feeds more smoothly and burns cleaner. What's not to like??

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Oh, don't get me wrong. Xtreme bullets aren't dog****; I use them sometimes too. It was more in reference to folks talking about 1.25" groups. If you are looking for the most superlative performance, you would pay a bit more. I am not a very good shot with a handgun, personally, but I have pretty much settled with Zero JHPs with heavier loads since I shoot a lot outdoors and it seems to show at further distances.

4.6grs with Xtremes is barely doing 700 FPS. You should up the charge to 5+ to get them to at least 750.
