So I started at 35 grains of 4895 and 8208xbr for a 165 or 168 gr bullet. I'm using either CBC or PPU brass and found that 38.5 grains gets the job done at 100 to 300 yards. Went up to 41 gr. .5gr at a time but no improvement of groups. I keep seeing 41 as a common load here on the forums. Anyone else?

Depends on the type of 4895. With the IMR variety the standard load is 41.5 grns in med wt cases (LC Match, FGMM) and 41 - 41.2 with H4895. H4895 is a little faster.
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

Always start with 10 to 15% reduction in mil brass.

I use 41.5 grains of IMR 4064 in LC brass, and I get very good accuracy using Fed match primers and Wolf primers behind Sierra 168 grain HPBT.

Im about -5 to -6% with LC brass. If the book says 44gr I use 42gr or 41.5gr.
