Start to load up some 165 sst's and the case is way full. I have imr 4064 and my book says to start at 41gr and Max is 45gr. Do I need to reduce by 10% for the military brass. I know it's late but I'm in a groove and need help quick

No need to make adjustment for LC brass. Just follow the manual.NRA Lifer

So compressed loads are okayComment

Ya that's what I did. I figured out if I tapped on the case a bit, the powder would settle better.Comment

Quotes for truth.
LC is heavier than most other brass. If you want to compare it to other brass you have used just do a water test and weigh them to see internal capacity.
General rule of thumb is to reduce loads by 10%, but I usually start 1gr lower than I normally would with thinner brass.Comment

With IMR 4064 in LC brass try 41.8 - 42.4 grns with a Fed primerI'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.
As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.Comment
