How Do You Clean Empty Shotshells Before Reloading

I never really thought about how I would clean shot shell hulls, but without much thought I would stick them in my tumbler with some basmati rice for about an hour... We will see what happens from there...

I have used a pillow case and the washer but its noisy.

Please explain what you mean unless you meant to say NO purpose to it, but I fail to see how there can be NO purpose to it; as a matter of fact if that is what you meant I can gladly test your theory of notice purpose and see what reality says...

I was using that damn Tapatalk app to reply. Sorry, I did mean "no purpose to it".

The reason I said no purpose is that likely, tumbling would agitate the hull enough to eventually (my guess 3 reloads) separate it from the base. In other words, your attempt to make a clean hull and potentially get more reloads out of the hull would ultimately reduce its longevity

It would be cool for you to do a test though.

I don't clean the hulls at all. Some of my hulls have probably like 8-9 reloads already. Save the time/effort for something else.
