X-treme plated bullets - use Speer TMJ data?

Hey all, just like the title says. I just want to get everyone's take on what data is best to use for X-treme plated bullets.

Kind of getting conflicting research on using lead data or TMJ data for plated bullets. Poking around on the net and I found some people saying that X-treme says to use Speer TMJ data, but I can't actually find that coming directly from the manufacturer.

    Thanks!

I find that plated bullets are right between lead and fmj. As always, start low and work up.

Last time I called them, they would only refer me to the Speer manual. They said they don't give out load data? Hopefully that has changed...

            This...

I will have a look at the difference between LEAD and between JACKETED (J-word) and maybe start somewhere between there. OR, if no plated data is found, I go by lead data. IF that is not found, then I go by J-word data.

So far it has worked for me. BUT, shooting 44 mag with 24.8gr of H-110 behind a 240gr plated pill I find that the data seems to be about on spot for J-word loads.

SO, I will tend to favor those loads more often.

Thanks for replies all. And I was kind of splitting TMJ with Lead for 45acp and 9mm out of the Speer manual, but 38 special is kind of giving me fits. Speer has no lead data for 125gr and the TMJ data lists NO minimum, only a max with a 'DNR' (do not reduce) load for TMJ in that weight for minimum charges. And what other data I could find was all over the place in lead data.

Ill try that Speer TMJ load of 4.5 of Bullseye and see how it shoots. (The +P loads start at 4.5 and work up from there.)
