Without trying to whore out RCBS and Dvor at the same time, I just got an email notification of an RCBS sale they are doing and noticed this: RCBS Turret Deluxe Reloading Kit It's a bit much for a starter kit ($375), but at about the same price as a Rock Chucker Supreme kit, you can't go wrong. Smoking deal if you ask me. Now, if you want to go on the cheap, then try the RCBS Special-5 kit they happen to have on sale too ($220).

Don't expect to find that good of a deal anywhere though, and this sale only runs for 48 hours. Here is an invite link if you need to sign up for Dvor.

Too bad they don't have the rock chucker supreme kit on this sale though... but you can not go wrong with RCBS.

Thanks everyone. I have been thinking and looking into different starter kits and I have to say Lee 50th anniversary is looking pretty good right now.

      Be safe and shoot straight.

Wow. It is about 600.00 from starter kit to primer to tumbler. Hell I may have to revisit this plan... Not giving up on it yet. But like anything the initial start up is always pricey.

Harbor freight for a good starter tumbler, im using that along with a hornady lnl classic kit.

Before you do anything though you really should attend the reloading class as Bumslie stated. You will learn all the basics and get to try different presses.

Presses seem to be more readily available right now, powder on the other hand not so much. It you feel you are difinitely going to start reloading, get a book and figure out what you need to get started, specifically powder and order that and then start looking for deals on presses. I just ordered some powder that wasnt backordered but im not expecting it to show up till may possibly june.

We have a reloading clinic on the 18th of May if you're interested. You can try a few presses before you buy
                  ^This.

See ya there. I jumped into this pond with a new Load Master doing rifle rounds, that is a learning curve! Set for four calibers today, I can hold my own.
After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

If you have a chance to go to a reloading clinic jump on it. It sounds like the one mentioned above will have several machines to try. You can't go wrong with an opportunity like that.

In a post above I recommended a Lee Classic Turret. I still do. Remove the indexing rod and go single stage. I have two, one is set up with the indexing rod installed as a progressive. The second has the rod removed. I use this as a single stage with turret capabilities. The turrets for this machine store dies like my universal expanding die for seating oversized lead bullets, universal decapping dies, etc.

Read a book or two. This advice is universally ignored by young guys today, not just beginning reloaders, but in every other pursuit as well. This is not a slam, I see it in my own children. Nowadays it seems like no one wants to invest the time with 16th century technology like printed word. If my sons can't find the answer instantly on their "smart" phones then the information doesn't exist. But I reiterate, read a good manual.

Lastly, if you can find a mentor that would help immensely. I have started several guys in reloading, mostly acquaintances from work. That isn't always feasible I know which is why sites like this are an outstanding resource. You have thousands of digital mentors you can call on.

I have a couple of friends that reload. May have to give them a call for their recommendations...
