Which RCBS 308 reloading die set

Should I get the Standard 308 die set or the AR 308 die set.

    Don't have an AR 10, but I do have a FAL, PTR-91, and M1A.

I am also using a Lee hand press

What are you shooting? Long range? Three-gun?

If you want accuracy, get the RCBS competition dies. If you load for volume then the small-base RCBS standard dies will work. You need to full-length resize for auto-loaders.

The AR 308 set is a small base set. Works best for semi auto rifles with tight chambers.

So I should order the AR 308 die set then. In 308 all I shoot is Auto loaders. Bolt action I prefer bigger calibers.

So if I start reloading 223, I should buy the AR dies?

Just get a small base die ,for myself I use the hornady seating die for the sliding bushing that guides the bullet into die for seating.

rcbs small base die for tight semi-auto rifles. i had a lee standard die and it would not chamber reliably in my gas gun 308.

I've used Lee. I've had to polish down the expander ball to tighten up neck tension though. Other than that they work good and I like the fact they come with the factory crimp die. Gonna put that hand press to use huh lol
