Anyone who needs primers in Riverside...

Bullseye Sport just got in about 50k various CCI primers and put them on the shelves. Prices are around $33.00/1k and no limit on what you buy.

This includes SP, SPM, LR, SR...

Also, RUMOR is that Centerfire might not be around too much longer... BUT that is just a rumor and it has NOT be substantiated yet.

Gun Stores need to have some personality to them. It is nice to walk into a small gun store and it has some personal things on the walls or at least SOMETHING cool on the walls. Lookit Warrior One. I was in there once a few years ago and although I might never go there again, I DO recall that they had a lot of cool photos of operators in the middle east and many were time-out photos so they try to show you their experience. Ammo Bros has that cool cage and cool aluminum wall and some other stuff. Bullseye has funny characters working behind the counter as well as a small display table of the owner's stuff. Turners has, well, they have a long gun counter and a lot of widely experienced folks PLUS fishing things. What does Centerfire have? An OSHA violation if a guy with a wheelchair tries to enter...

Large Pistol... Hmmm. Damn. I did not see that, but I did not look. I will look tomorrow. Imma see if I can heard them into bringing in some dies and more reloading stuff now...

It happens. Price gouging is finally meeting some serious resistance.

I've walked into a couple stores... and turned right around without spending a dime. One instance, the gun shop in Filmore was trying to convince me that $11 was their cost for a box of 50 .22LR. Thanks but no thanks. I was ready to drop some serious coin in there because I do like to support small businesses when at all possible. I took my business to Turner's in my home town instead. Those guys charge fair prices on everything I've looked at. Maybe because I wasn't a local he gave me the "thank you sir may I have another" price. Who knows. I just know I'll never go back there, well, maybe if they have a going out of business sale I may stop in to see if the prices have come down at all. Other than that, thanks but no thanks.

You know, that's a very good point. There are a few internet sites I refuse to do business with because of that very thing. Did Centerfire price gouge? Can't say I noticed.. but rarely went in there myself since the few times I did the selection was so small.

I've bought quite a few used guns from the guys at center fire. The new location is better and worse. More parking less traffic same general area. I hope they make it. It's not good to lose stores

Centerfire is not relly a price gouger. But they are very tiny. I am not impressed with their website and today they told me that they were NOT going out of business and did not hear of any others local stores that were...

                        So there ya have it.

Oh yeah, And Bullseye has NO large pistol primers, but a lot of large rifle and others (CCI) uhh, small pistol, small pistol magnum, Benchrest pistol or rifle, small rifle .556 and not sure what all else, Someone came in the other day and bought all of the old primers up that were like CCI for $24.00 and all...

Heh. And today some blue man tried to convert me.
He was not the typical jerk. He was actually a cool guy that is meticulous in how he reloads and what he uses and was uncertain of what switching to a cci .556 primer would do to his loads that use federal primers... I told him to go for it... I would have, but just back down a bit at first. He seemed to know why and what about reloading for accuracy. Nice guy. He told me that the blue koolaid was not as bad as some think, but rather once you get a taste you aint never going back...
Now I gotta go lookit at what a dillon 1200 is...
