Resizing 7mm Mag on it is easy if you use the correct lube. But you can't use standard shell holders. There is too much flex in the arm and you have to bottom out the shell holder against the die to get a consistent shoulder bump. So you have to use Redding competition shell holders.

I've been thinking about getting one for resizing and depriming rounds on the couch too. I also think it would be nice to take to the range for rounds you don't have much brass for, like 7.7 jap or the like. Also could be used for a bug out bag type scenario if you have reloading supplies but haven't yet made the rounds, throw some bullets, primers, dies and a lb of powder in there too.

As for calibers, IIRC Lee reccos that you do not go above .45 caliber with the press. I think 9-380-38/357-40-10-45 were the commons with 9/380 being the easiest.

44 mag might be okay too but I have not tried mine for anything but decapping. 37 lpp or 53 spp.

I had a co-worker loan me his about a year ago. I twas introduction to reloading. I decapped many hundreds of 38 & 357 while watching the boob tube. I only loaded 18 rounds of 38 and they all went BANG. Gave the Lee back to my co-worker. Now have an RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme. It does work and I have thought of getting one on ebay just to sit and mindlessly decap.

I think that MAYBE I will keep some spent shells out in a bowl on the coffee table and put the hand press on top and see if I can encourage people to decap for me when we have get-togethers and parties... Maybe they will think it is some new sort of nut and just decap them all before I get a chance to tell them... :O

That's how I started in reloading and reloaded with it for almost 8 years. I kept it and the rest of my reloading tools inside a plastic tool box. The case lube that came with it, well I purchased several more of the same lube helped a lot with resizing 9mm brass since the brass itself is very stiff. I've loaded 9mm, .38spl, .357mag., .223, and 7.62x39mm with that hand press and many hours spent in front of the tv and at the range loading.

                      I still kept mine.

I have one of the breech lock hand presses and use it a ton...handy, simple and portable....I also have my bench press where the rifle cartridges get loaded but for the handgun cartridges I load the hand press get's lots of use. I am a lower volume loader and mostly load straight case handgun loads and have found over the years that I can do about anything I want with the hand press. I think for a high volume loader or for lots of rifle loads it might be a stretch.
God and the Constitution give me my rights and actions...any other input is just blabbering.

I might have to try it. I am still using the lee loader to load all my bullets one at a time with a plastic hammer!lol
