    Quick Measure

Does anyone own or know someone that owns a Quick Measure powder measure?

If so, how do you/they like it.

I had to look it up because I haven't seen it before...

If you get one, let us know how well it works with extruded powders.

It supposedly doesn't cut extruded powder and is very accurate. It also adapts to a progressive press, saving a lot of charging time.

If you do buy it OP... what powders do you plan to meter though it?

Please give us detailed comparison of the throw consistency... if this works for powders like Varget and H4895 I might have to pick one up.

Based on that video is looks pretty fast and convenient...I actually like that mode of operation.

Im with you there. Ive been putting it off for quite a while. But everytime I load, I lose a lot of time when it comes to charging my rifle rounds.

They have an accessory to adapt it to a progressive which is exactly what Im looking for.

It is pricey, but if it's fast and accurate, I don't care about pricey.

Im going to be running Varget and 4064 through it. The 4064 was giving me fits, so I was throwing all charges by hand and then trickling. Big time hog. I will be using Varget for first time.

If you read their website, it sounds like they found another way meter powder without it cutting, which shakes the measure and creates a different pack density, hence inconsistent results.

I'm one of the 57, Jack. I've been aware of that powder measure for some time and am very interested, though priced out of it due to the irons I have in other fires. I DO hope you will buy it and measure LONG grain powders and report.

In fact, if you buy it, I will send you some IMR-4198 to test in it, which will probably be longer than what 90% of folks on the boards here use. You just let me know and I'll make it happen.

Oh yeah? Well I will send him .05 and .07 pencil leads #2 hardness so he can REALLY test it out... I got a whole lot that I found in the supply cabinet at work. I took them all out today... Who uses pencils anymore?

I dunno what their burn rate is though.
