    Compact & Portable Reloading Bench

There's a great sticky here for Reloading Bench Pictures and it has tons of great, enviable reloading setups. But as nice as those are, many of us don't have the luxury of space.

So I thought I'd do an alternative thread and show what us apartment dwellers can do with limited space.

I started with a spare computer cabinet that came with my office desk from home depot.

Added some screws for support. Those 1/4 turn quick assembly locks don't hold up.

And added 2X3s under it and screwed the sides to it for more support, then added 2X3 legs for extra stability and locking casters. This also raised it to a comfortable height.

Plenty of storage inside for bullets, primer, powder & brass.

And the drawer holds the dies, primer feeder, scale, mic, tools & misc.

The rear panel is removable for easier access to things in the back. Might put a hinge on it eventually.

All in all I'm very happy with the results. Plenty sturdy and stable and I can roll it away into my closet. So, don't let space keep you from reloading.

That little Lee single stage is nice .. not going to reload 500 a day, but easy enough to keep me in 9mm & .40 range ammo.

Great rig. I mounted mine on an old sawhorse. Looks like crap, but works.

                  That's all that matters, right?

When I grow up I want one of those picnic table sized reloading benches for sure!

That is a cool portable press.

But my good friend Chuck showed me how he was able to hold onto the press with his left hand and resize by pulling the lever with his right hand, no bench mount needed...

I tried that when I got my press. It will help build up arm muscles.
