Took out a brand new Glock 23 for my ccw class and went through around 175 rounds. 1st day had about 5 misfires in 100 round of Magtech ammo. 2nd day I used PMC and had one misfire in about 75 rounds. Drove by the store I bought the gun and they said with the shortage of ammo, quality control hasn't been the best. These are at the bottom end of ammo grade but I just wanted to make sure I don't have a issue with the hand gun. Strikes were really good so I do buy his explanation. But if I did buy the top of the line ammo and had the same problem would it still be the ammo?

Bad ammo or gun problem?

Primer strikes are off center, not good at all, MagTech is junk, and those are reloads, all different head stamps and primers. You have some kind of junk ammo. None of those look like Glock strikes, should look like this. I have run over 350,000 reloads thru my Glocks over the last 22 years, and have never, ever, seen anything like that. My once fired reloads, notice the rectangular Glock strike.

With strikes that far off center, there is no way the strike is over the anvil like it should.
I vote gun problem.Comment

I'd lean towards the handgun. Look how off center the strikes are....Originally posted by starsnufferTaking legal advice from a gun store owner or employee is like taking dietary advice at the McDonald's drive through. Just don't.

Then why does he appear to have a rimfire glock?
Just because "most" worked doesn't mean a primer strike on the edge of the primer is not the problem. I doubt its the ammo. Can't fault the ammo for a primer strike like that. Its a wonder any went off.Comment

But you wont get the rectangular imprint look until the round is fired and the primer flows into the firing pin hole. Those look like factory ammo to me. I think the Glock is trying to fire slightly out of battery. Might be a chamber problem. It looks like C.O.L is too long but with two different brands of ammo?Primer strikes are off center, not good at all, MagTech is junk, and those are reloads, all different head stamps and primers.
