You don't need to visually check each flash hole - just run a neck sizing due in the last station with a decap pin and it'll pop out any media stick anyway.

Again, media isn't going to create a misfire unless it's SS media.

Anyone care to speculate why media tightens up the SD on velocity in some instances?

We use a neck die with decapping pin in the last station of the press to validate the neck tension.

After about 2 years of using SS media, we came to the conclusion that tumbling in corn with nu-finish to get the case lube off is the best way to keep the brass looking good.

I'll speculate.

Primer flash temperature is related to SD. Lower flash temperature has been shown to influence the SD less as long as it is hot enough to uniformly ignite the powder. Primers are not as easy to manufacture consistently as every other element of the round manufacturing process. If stuck media manages to choke the flash of the primer, but still allows for uniform ignition then it may help lower SD.

You may not worry about it... But to someone that pays money to have there brass processed they EXPECT it to be perfect...

I can't tell you about all the anal people I get expecting it to be perfect... Or even better when people want you to fix something they screwed up!!

It's not as easy a business as you would expect

Pretty much a no win. I've passed on brass processors because they played up all the 'damaged' cases they've picked out of their customer's brass for them. I looked at the examples and thought most were usable. Forget that.
