Brass processing-anyone offering it in SoCal?

Does anybody offer brass processing in SoCal ? I just spent the afternoon knocking out (polish, deprime, decrimp, size, trim, and final polish to remove lube) 1800 pieces of 223. I don't want to do that again. Even with a 1050 it's drudgery.

Checked out your website on processing. I'm not sure what disgarded means but perhaps it's discarded. Also, does processing include decrimping and trimming of the neck? Is the neck chamfered and be eked or straight cut? Is the straight cut deburred?

LOL thanks for pointing out the typo.

The process would be the following.

• Tumbling of all brass to clean off any dirt and grit
• Full length resizing
• Swage military crimped primer pockets
• Trim to length 1.750" (+/- 0.002)
• Neck tension double checked & any inside burrs are removed
• Final tumble in corn cob to remove case lube and give a nice polish

Our trimmer gives a nice clean square cut with no burrs on the outside. We do not chamfer the inside as there is no need to unless you load flat base bullets.

We will also be offering SS media tumbling.

Little heads up... People hate corn cob in the flash hole...

Always run a decap ping die in the first station to clear the flash hole.

That said, I and others have tested loads were we intentionally left the media in the flash hole. For some odd reason the media usually tightens up the velocity standard deviation and group size.

Go figure !!

You may not worry about it... But to someone that pays money to have there brass processed they EXPECT it to be perfect...

I can't tell you about all the anal people I get expecting it to be perfect... Or even better when people want you to fix something they screwed up!!

Tell me about business...I employed 40 people for close to ten years. It sucks. And clients aren't any better. I once fired a secretary for selling dope out of the office and she sued me for unlawful termination. I should of turned her over to the cops instead.

Yup. We check every single flash hole for stuck media. If it's a SS tumble we also check for that as well.

We use 20/40 grit corn cob which does not get stuck in flash holes. But we DO still check them to make sure. You just grab 20-30 of them in your hand and check them before packing them up.

If you look around the forums, this is about the going rate unless they trim on a Giraud at which point the service nearly doubles in price.
