Giraud case trimmer

I finally said F it and ordered one. I have it coming in 308 with a 223 cutter on the side. My friend asked if I was gunna think about it. It was a quick nope. If I think about it I won't get it. Does anyone know how long it takes to ship? Does anyone have any pointer for a someone that has never used the giraud?

Don't know about shipping.

Once you have your case holder in position put a lock ring on it.

3 months is what I waited for mine. I ordered on 11/15/2013 and it arrived 01/26/2014.

dont just jam your brass in the cutter and expect the blade to not lock up eventually. slow and steady.

I suggest wearing a working glove while trimming as well. I trim 300 blackout on mine and every now and then the brass will run away from me and burn my finger.

also, swap that standard lock ring that comes with it out for a hornady lock ring. the normal one moves every now and then.

No. They use the same lock rings as your reloading dies.

Lock rings can be purchased by themselves. Sinclair International carries them.

3 months wait time. Sounds like she ships almost to the day 3 months after you order. I have one coming in .223 with a .308 holder and spare cutter head for 308 so I don't have to do any adjusting.

If I like it, my Dillon RT1200 and cutting dies will be up on the marketplace.

you will still have a lil bit of adjusting to do if you swap cutter heads.

I have separate cutter heads preset for 22, 26,27 and 30 calibers. I have case holders in 223 Rem.,260 Rem.,270 Win, 30/06 and 308 Win. All of the case holders have been adjusted for proper depth of cut and set with a locking die ring.

It take me less than 2 minutes to change out a cutter head and case holder for any of my calibers and there is no adjustments necessary. Switch out and start cutting a different caliber with no adjustments. It only takes me about 20 seconds to switch out from 308 to 30/06 or visa versa.
