I tried that. The desk lamp is way brighter and is perfect for the LnL AP. The lamp is tall enough to reach over and into the center hole.

Yah, I guess if you don't mind clutter, that's the way to go.

I use one of these on my Lee Classic Cast Turret Press and it works great:

I ordered the 6" with 9v connector in white. $6.75 shipped.

How did you attach it? Does it light up enough for you to see into the case?

While the LEDs will come on with the 9v battery, they aren't as bright as with the plug in power supply.... And at $3-4 a pop, it'll get expensive to keep replacing them.

I zip tied it to one of the three black vertical support rods. It is quite bright and I can see into the case.

9v batteries are inexpensive on Amazon and last a LONG time. I have accidentally left the LED lights on overnight a few times and the battery is still going strong.

Here's my light for my Lee Classic Turret:

It's definitely not as elegant as the LED strips, but it suits my purposes for now. I like that the magnetic base sticks directly to the press.

I looked at my Dillon 550 last night. I don't see that there is room around the top for strip lights. The toolhead slides out of the left, which is where the powder station is. The index wheel comes within 3/16" of the top of the press. I don't know if the leds would fit across the top/back of the frame, right next to the toolhead. My current lights are similar to the one shown above, but just more compact/shorter. Mine use a transformer so batteries aren't an issue.

IKEA $15 Jansjo Clamp On Spotlight

Adding mine to the mix. Clamps on to the press. Can adjust any which way.

Thanks for the ideas. I definitely need more light to see what I am doing.
