Anyone powder coat?

The new way of just putting bullets in a plastic container with some powder and shaking. And then into the oven is something I'm gonna try. Old way of making a rack that held each bullet so the electricity could to polarize it, that's was too much work....

I disagree. Perhaps older reloaders who are set in their ways might turn their nose up at it, but I think that if they would look a little closer, they might find a benefit in encapsulating a lead bullet completely so there is no lead exposure to loading fingers, making a coating that is VERY slick so no lube is needed, and being able to see the following:

Jacketed 55gr HP BT bullets $50-$60 for 500.

27500 grains = 3.9lbs = 4 lbs of lead = $8.00 on an expensive day.
$15 for enough PC to coat about 25k + bullets.
Being able to push PC cast lead bullets up to about 3k fps with no gas checks or leading, priceless...

I do not know the calcs for the energy needed to cast 500 .224 bullets, but since it is a hobby then the time and absorbing of the cost might be discounted.


For me it is about being able to make cool bullets that glow in the dark or are colored.
