.475 is too wide to fit in my SA XD 45 barrel. I had to go down to 0.470
Screw the crimp die further down until you measure maybe 0.470.
Then with the shell plate up and a round 'being crimped' tighten the lock ring down. Then double check a few rounds and make sure they are popping out at 0.470 or something similar that does fit.Last edited by Frozenguy; 01-30-2014, 10:11 PM.Comment

I was having problems with some of my rounds fitting the case gauge ok but would still stick in the chamber of one of my guns. I reset the sizing die to (as stated above) just kiss the shell plate and problem solved. I thought I had it right the first time following the Dillon manual but after talking with some other re-loaders that use the same press I made the adjustment and all is well.Comment
