You may want to double check that data. You're well over max, and Clays isn't the powder you want to do that with.

For those who want a substitute for non-existent Clays, look for Alliant e3 and Clay Dot.

I just started to and all I could get my hands on are IMR SR 4756, and IMR 700x.

4756 works great at 6.8 gr behind a 230 gr RN FMJ.
Far more accurate than my factory ammos

Ahhh, ok. I suspected that's what you meant, but wanted to be sure. Universal Clays is a great all around powder.

Hodgdon Universal Clay can be used in most all handgun loads.

HP38 and WSF are the two go-to powders for the .45 ACP using 230 grain ball. HP38 and W231 are identical. At least this is what I have been told by many others.

I currently have some Bullseye waiting to be loaded. I have read somewhere that the original .45 ACP 230 grain ball was loaded in front of the Bullseye powder.

I have also managed to get the REX-1 powder to work very well for the .45 ACP. I did this because I was fortunate to get a butt-load of REX-1
