Great, no sparks. But there is a thing called friction. Which in turn produces heat. And unless your going to hold them in your hand while cutting, any vise etc will be metal. 1 spark etc and your not only have powder, but the primers that I would be concerned about. Again not a great idea when there are SO many other methods. But please take a video of you cutting live rounds Then show us a receipt from the ER on how much money you saved salvaging some XM855.

real easy smak on cement floor bench/wood/carpet will NOT work.

If you want to save case with primer and powder, put into single stage press/shellholder run the ram all the way up (no Die) and pinch the bullet with side cutters and then pull handle down bullets pops out. saves brass, primer and powder charge.

goes very fast this way but you loose the bullet.

I got them all backed out with the inertia puller then ended up just reseating them with the press. Worked like a charm and only took a few hours. I can think of worse ways to spend an afternoon than puttering in the garage.

I was just using the video to demonstrate to the brass experts that brass is in fact difficult to get to spark. But then they went with the heat rout. Again why my later comment said not worth my time due to me not going down a path of 50 directions of how a case COULD blow from 1,000,000 what if questions.

                  Yeah, seriously...

Cutting the case necks off with a dremmel, and showering your bench/SCALE with shards of brass?!?!? NOT SMART!!!
