    Lead Bullet Band?

How does this effect the everyday reloader? Does it mean you can't buy lead bullets at all or you just can not get US. manufacture rounds? Thanks

Use search function. Only ammo used in hunting in Kommiefornia and the ban is not in effect yet.

The ban is only for Ca and must be in place before 2019. You can buy and use lead/lead-core bullets in other states and in the non-condor zone in Ca now. Once the ban is in effect you can still use them in other states and for non-hunting shooting in Ca. You will have to use non-lead bullets for hunting in Ca after it takes effect.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Are we talking about the Calif. mandated no lead ban that goes into effect by 2018?I have to look for it again,as well as you can also.Anywhere in Calif.will be non lead.Including public/private ranges.
Can a person still purchase and load their own evil lead bullets, well of course, just do not use them here.Get used to non lead rimfire bullets as well.It will just cost us all more.
          Nice huh.

AB 711 just bans lead hunting ammo. not target shooting.

What I'm referring to is the EPA. ban on manufacturing all lead ammo in the US. Also the military switch to copper bullets. As in shutting down the Doe Run plant in Missouri. My Question does a EPA ban stop the legal sale of ammo or just manufacturing?

ummm, no. It is only a ban on lead ammo being used for the take of game animals, not a ban on lead used target shooting and like Divernhunter said it is to have full implementation by 2019

                        Thanks for the corrections.
I googled AB 711.It indicated,if I read it right, the thing is implemented by July 1,2016.Non lead for hunting is the end result.
                        Anyone have more info?
Sorry to tag on OP.I will look now for the EPA ban.
                        Anyone else?
                        Merry Christmas everyone

                          From AB711

The bill would require the commission to promulgate regulations by July 1, 2015, that phase in the requirements of these provisions. The bill would require that these requirements be fully implemented statewide by no later than July 1, 2019. The bill would require the commission to implement any of these requirements that can be implemented practicably, in whole or in part, in advance of July 1, 2019. The bill would also require that the commission not reduce or eliminate any existing regulatory restrictions on the use of lead ammunition in California condor range, as described, unless or until the additional requirements for use of nonlead ammunition as required by these provisions are implemented.

The EPA is precluded by law from banning lead bullets.

The owner of Missouri Bullet Co has already stated quite a few times that the closing of the Doe Run plant will not affect lead ammo at all.
