    Need ideas and pics please

I am setting up my reloading equipment. Lee Classic Turret Press. I recently got a real nice bench with butcher block top. The bench has drawers and the mounted press interferes with the drawers. Looking for ideas on how to set up.
    Thanks

      LoL.

But has that sticky been updated to reflect the new STRONG mounts from Inline fab? I have heard now from three folks that say THOSE are like night and day difference on press feel and to top it off they have only really taken off in the last couple of years for the other presses that are not from the blue man group...

Or maybe someone here has run into the same issue and is willing to be helpful and share, rather than referring me to 15 pages of pictures

Who needs a strong mount? I just hold the entire progressive press in my lap as I reload.

The solution would be to NOT mount it in front of a drawer, or to make or buy a mount which would raiser it above the level of the drawers.

There are plenty of picture examples in that thread to give you some ideas and or get the creative juices flowing.

Didn't this cross your mind before you bought the bench? Bolts only need to go down so far (say, four/five threads?), so drawer could still be opened. If you made cut-outs in the back of drawer, you could still pull it all the way out.

Bolts don't have to face downward either. My press is mounted above a drawer with carriage bolts, nuts and washers on top. No interference at all.

I use Dillon strong mounts for all my presses. I like the raised height, and the added strength, as it distributes the downward force into the table. As mentioned above check out the inline fab ones. They comes with a top, the Dillon ones don't. I had to buy a piece of scrap aluminum and cut it to fit.

$5 worth of scrap metal. This is test fitting before paint.

Doesn't have to be expensive at all. This is from scrap lumber in the corner of the laundry room. Dillon Square Deal, Rockchucker, and Dillon 550

by the way, I didn't put a riser on my press to clear the bench. I did it for two reasons:

#1 I like to reload standing up and this is more ergonomic

#2 I use the press to size bullets and this plate lets me turn the LEE upside down so the bullets slip out into a plastic bin.

                          (also explains the breaker bar)

That guy not only solved the drawer problem, but also the primer collection problem for that particular press. Outstanding idea.

Whiterabbit, that is a very nice stand you have made there.

I didn't have to cut squat. I just found the plates and tube stock right there on the "this is scrap, sell by the pound" shelf. Just acetoned off the oil from the ends and welded away. Sprayed with cheap homedepot automotive primer and black chalkboard paint (my favorite cheap paint).

Literally cost me five dollars plus an hour of hole drilling, 30 minutes of welding, and 30 minutes of spray painting.

got 5 more of those plates in 8x10 for shootin'
