Yes, the SNS bullets use the same Hi-Tek coating as Bayou, just different color. Works the same - no leading and reduced smoke. You can also get the coating from Bayou and apply it yourself. That is what I do.

SNS casting makes quality bullets. I use their cast and coated bullets for my practice rounds. SNS is a family owned company, not overpriced and I have never waited longer than 2 weeks for an order.

Prolly a little better than plated.

Plated is still a harder/more brittle coating and the lands can cut into it. Plating is usually only rated to about 1500 or so fps USUALLY. Many folks say not to go above 1200 fps. But coated bullets can usually go faster and their coating is usually a little more flexible, like a very hard polymer/rubber so that it may get pressed in by the lands of a rifled barrel, but it is usually flexible enough to stay together and not get cut. I am unaware of a hitek coating or what it is made of. I only do PC but now I am going to try a batch of hBN PC so this should be very interesting. PC bullets can go to about 3000+ FPS.

More like different than better. I like coated vs. plated. Both types work for me but I find coated are slightly more accurate but YMMV.
