Anyone used "smartReloader" brand?

I have been pricing reloading kits (mostly looking at the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit - roughly $300). While looking I came across the "SmartReloader Omega 800 Pro Kit" priced at $135!

Has anyone used this brand before? I am sure it is cheap, I'm sure it was made in China, but is it a good value at $135?

As I remember SmartReloader stood for"If you are a Smart Reloader you will stay away from this junk"
If you want cheap buy lee. If you want better get RCBS or Hornady. If you really want to make a mistake buy SmartReloader.

The stuff Is made in Italy... I bought one of there knock off charge master scale combos, because I couldn't bring myself to spend 300$ for the rcbs...


So far it has been a dream... Works perfect.... Gets the job done.... Hopefully it lasts a long time. I've only had it for about 6 months and I'm happy with it

Ask Ivanimal . He bought a couple of their single station presses. He told me they were nice.

Can't beat RCBS as far as I am concerned. You buy a press, and it lasts and lasts. Super warranty service, California company. Support the locals, the job you save may be your own.

I don't know anything about their Omega 800, but their Hand Priming Tool and even their ammo boxes are lousy. Then I tried their Customer Service to get some help with their products I was having trouble with, and they were worthless too!

Other than that it was a great bargain!

Seriously, I can't count the times I was stung by buying off-brand stuff, even some famous name products. Out of round bullet mold cavities, dies that had sharp internal burrs that ruined brass, dies that wouldn't screw into any standard 7/8"-14 press (that one I sent back and it still didn't work when it was returned), presses that broke or didn't work, difference is in the customer service. Big names like RCBS, Hornady and Redding usually are pretty good about such things.

This **** is spot on total garbage.

THE ONLY thing that SR makes that is anywhere NEAR decent is their plastic bullet containers. And that is ONLY because you can buy them for about $1.50 or so each. STAY AWAY from this brand. They are Chinese copies coming out of Italy in an effort to old-school IP spoof everyone. The company rma/support department is headed up by a single guy from his mother's basement. MV3006 had to deal with these fools for a returned item and it looked like the only thing they did was copy everyone else in their designs. HOW did they copy? Easy, they go to harbor freight, take PHOTOS of the cheap calipers , then go home and hand make/ duplicate them, then get reloading catalogs and download photos of presses and other tools, then they use their cheap handmade calipers to measure them out and rescale the photos, then hand file the parts out of jbweld and pot metal, THEN send the prototypes out to china to get copies made, THEN buy the copies from someone in the factory that is leaking them out (because it saves them money) and THEN get them shipped to whereever some poor unsuspecting fool orders them from. Okay, I have no proof, but that is just a guess... When I first got into reloading I bought their SR750 scale/trickler/dipper kit and that was all that I needed to realize that they make mostly garbage. If you need something PRECISE, then do not expect PRECISE quality from them. Their powder trickler even leaks SHOT if you are not careful. The only good thing they make that I found (got lucky) was their ammo holders. Good stuff, but that is ALL. I say STAY AWAY from their PRESSES/SCALES/TRICKLERS/HAND PRIMERS and oh if they ever made any dies then THAT would be funny to see. China Harbor has cheap crap in their stores, but even China Harbor is 3 notches above these guys...

Go to amazon and type in smart reloader and you will get a lof of their products with a lot of reviews. Yeah, If China Harbor Freight and Fry's got together and had a love child, it would be Smart Reloader... Oxymoron for a company name too because there is nothing smart about buying most of their products.
