I wish it was 45 bucks

Now, the CTS 223 trimmer that I have been running, and paid 45 bucks for, it still working great. I did have to put another end mill cutter in it. I didn't think I had run that much brass, but it wasn't cutting well. I threw in a two flute 3/8" end mill that had been run in my milling machine before. That was the ticket. A friend and I took turns feeding brass in the trimmer. A big coffee can of 223 took a half hour, maybe an hour at most...........I wasn't timing it. We were talking away and running as quick as possible. We were impressed with the performance after the new cutter vs. before. The old cutter slowly got dull and it was hard to tell. The new, actually used, cutter will take 10 thousandths off the case in 2-3 seconds. It did leave a burr, but Jim supplied the trimmer with a 4 flute cutter which may cut cleaner. For 3 gun and plinking ammo, my boat tail bullet takes care of the burr inside the case and my crimp die is set to just kiss the outside and knock the burr off.

30-06 is even easier than 223 to trim on the CTS. My 460 mag CTS cutter worked great last time I ran it. I still need to see if they have a 30 carbine trimmer available. Using the lyman electric trimmer for 30 carbine is getting old, and I just got parts to load 30 carbine on my 550 with a casefeeder, so I foresee the need for more trimmed brass in my near future. I cast 450 boolits for the 30 carbine today.

I would love to have a dillon trimmer, but the 45 dollar CTS trimmers are much more budget friendly and they work great for the kind of ammo I load up.
