My "new to me" RCBS Reloading Kit

I figured I would share the kit that I bought off of a fellow Calguns member. Here is the link to the for sale add http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=850487 by Redwing_762. He was very understanding in allowing me to buy this kit half this month and half next month. Thanks Redwing. Not too many people willing to do that, even for a fellow member. Here is a picture of the stuff he sent to my email upon my request. He didn't post a pic in the add.

He has more items in this picture than is posted in the add, although I don't know what some of them are. For example on the left are three green boxes. The middle one contains a couple of hand tools to prep the cases with. The other two have items that I don't recognize. Of course the red box contains the Forster .308 die set which I am going to use quite a bit. He also says he has some manuals and a few other items not in the picture that he will throw in since he doesn't reload anymore. What do you guys think?

read the labels. LoL. I bet one is a powder cop. That would suck, but still be funny. This looks like a decent setup. Good job. Hope you placed an order for powder/primers and projectiles already... They will be there next week.

Good start. Toss the lube pad and get a bottle of RCBS Pump Spray Case-Slick lube and an old baking pan to spray the brass in. Much less messy and works much better than the Hornady spray for me.

That setup will last for decades w/ a little maintenance. My RCBS setup is almost identical to yours & is into its third decade & past 200k rounds.

i hope the seller is still reloading, i hate to think someone is out there that fell to the way side.

That looks like a nice setup to get you going. I can say that RCBS customer service is excellent.

I bought the same tumbler about a year ago. It quit after a month. I took it in to RCBS and they replaced the motor while I waited. It took about 15 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised, as I had expected to drop it off and pick it up in a couple of weeks.

I also use a dial caliper. I have had mine for nearly 30 years and prefer it to a digital.

Yeah,... I am an RCBS fan also. I had ordered a hand priming tool, and lost the small primer parts. Emailed them over the weekend, and on that Monday it was in the mail at no charge.

Thanks Fellas. I keep staring at that picture on my computer and can't wait to get the other payment made so I can start to set it all up. I am going to have to build a little reloading table/work bench for a small corner in my garage. It is really nice to hear all of the stories about the customer service RCBS is famous for. That means the equipment can only be top quality.


Germz, I like his couch too. I didn't think to ask him if that was part of the package though. Somehow I doubt it.

Great deal. The power trimmer appears to have the three way cutting head installed on it. The trimmer and three way head make for more than half of what you paid for it all. I think you scored.

Get a big ziplock bag dump in some brass then spray and shake.
