155 gn 45 acp question

I recently traded for some 45 acp projectiles and need some information on load data. The projectiles are molybdenum coated lead 155 gn. I havent been able to find load data on something this lite in my books. Some vague posts online but nothing substantial.
Does anyone have experience with projectiles this light?
Also looking for load data on 44 mag 225 gn ftx without trimming the case.

OMFG! I want that mould! The only ones that I found were 160gr rn or swc. I forgot, but I think they were RN.

IF I were in your shoes I would look for Lead 160gr loads.

Something tells me BoLy or BoLee would have it. Let me look.

Yeah, BoLee has it on page OH WOW. You better not load those. The information is on Page 666 of BoLee. Beware of weird occurances if you load those and start having problems. Also, do NOT have any dogs or plate glass laying around. In fact you know what, BoLee has a lot of loads for this but damn man, maybe someone else should help you. I aint cool with this 666 stuff. **** that, man. I'm outta here. I aint gonna be no victim.

I found the 6.0 grains of W-231 works for me.

Wtf? Lol, i have some 155 grainers at home i haven't started loading yet so ill be interested to see what people have to say about this one.

A friend of mine use to load that bullet but not moly coated just wax based lube. Shoots like a .38 spl in his Gold Cup. He told me that the barrel has to be throated in order for that particular bullet to feed reliably. You'll like shooting that bullet. I know I did.

Its like, the RING of reloading man. Don't be touching it and once you read it you better load for ALL of those loads in 2 days or something terrible will happen, else some dogs will chase you into a plate glass and chop yer noggin off. Crazy crazy!

I found the 6.0 grains of W-231 works for me.

yep looking at my ONE Book / one Cal it shows HP-38 at 6.0 to start and 6.7 max

Sorry for the late responce I had family in town.

I loaded some test rounds using data form Lymans cast bullet manual. I used 5.3 gn of Titegroup with great success! These things cut perfect holes in the target almost like a hole punch. These were shot out of a 1911 govt model. I have zero leading in the barell and only a couple miss feeds due to the shape of the round. I have shot close to 200 this weekend and maybe 5 feed issues.

I also loaded some 44 Mag rounds using the Hornady 225 gn FTX rounds meant for the lever rifles. In the Hornady 8th manual it says to trim the case but did no such thing. That would make it no longer a 44 mag or even a special. The reason for the trim is to accomidate a longer ogive to clear in a lever rifle to seat at the cantalure. So I used 20 gn of H110 and seated to the top cantalure. I checked using a dummy round and the cylinder still had room to spare in my Taurus Raging Bull 6". The longer bearing surface proved to make a very accurate round. I have shot 70 of the 100 loaded and have no complaints.
