    Commercial Reloading Help

I'm trying to get to the point where I can sell reloads to friends legally, does anybody have any advise for dealing with organizations like ITAR? It's getting to be a lot more work than I wanted to do, so I'm down but certainly not out.

I wouldn't. Need an FFL and about 1 million in insurance I believe.

I've looked into those two things already and they don't seem to be that big of a deal.

Read this thing, read the WHOLE thing, and understand why its not an easy thing. Its not easy, not just because of the the insurance, but because its super time consuming and your profit margins are tiny

Well, ok. But you'll need a lawyer. if you plan on doing it out of your home, you can just scratch your homeowner's insurance. You'll have to deal with not only with the BATF and CADOJ, but many other regulating bodies. Certainly your local zoning/planning office, the EPA, County Environmental Health (hazardous materials), fire agencies, and my personal favorite, CalOSHA. Willful violations start at 18k.

You'll need a Federal Class 6 FFL, state business license, local permits, be subject to multi-agency inspections and buckets of insurance.

You'll have to do all this to legally sell to friends. I wouldn't do it, but good luck.

DDTC is a lot of money, annually, as are many other of the minimum requirements.

            Go big, or go home!

Just have your friends buy the components and some beer for your time.

This is definitely a LOT of work. I thought about this years ago and figured the time was not worth the profit.
