Is there such thing as contamination??

I was grinding pain from the bed of my truck because I was putting in some DIY liner... anyways all the dust that came from the grinder (really fine dust particles) is there a possibility I could have contaminated my brass that was sitting in my table in my garage?

The brass was sitting in the loading tray.. resized and trimmed.. not primed yet. should i tumble them just to re clean them or am i worrying to much?

    Thanks

I would think if there was dust on it you could see or feel it. try wiping a couple with a clean Kleenex and see if there is any on it. I think you are ok but if in doubt just wipe them off.

      Brass? No

      Primers? Maybe

Powder? Probably (if there is enough it will change volume, might add oxygen to the reaction)
...but their exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.

Hit them all with an air compressor (if you have one), really fast and light.

          Else wipe them down.

I once slapped a mosquito on my arm and before it woke up I dropped it into a 44 mag shell and then game him the opportunity of a lifetime, he got to see first hand how the whole combustion process works from inside the shell and he helped push a 240gr bullet down range. I think your shells are fine unless it looks like a winter wonderland in there...

Blow them off with air or a quick trip in the tumbler to get any GRIT off of them that might scratch your dies.

Just toss the brass into your tumbler and turn it on for 10 minutes. That should take out any paint particles that might have found their way into the brass.
