Using Berdan primers in boxer pocket?

I noticed that Powder Valley has Tula "BERDAN (KV-762N) 7.62 NATO PRIMER (1000)" in stock. Out of curiosity, would it be as simple as adding an old anvil and using it like a boxer primer? What do you think?

Berdan primers are a different diameter than Boxer primers.

Probably not, but you could reload the cases that are berdan primed if you have any. Pretty much any commie surplus used berdan primers so those cases would be a good candidate for you.

Got plenty of boxer cases, just running low on primers. I want to find some more CCI #34 for my Garand, but I haven't seen any in ages.

Nearly all Berdan primered 7.62x54R use larger primers than the Tula 7.62 primers.

As was already mentioned, they will not fit. You might want to buy some for those times when components dry up, though. They come in handy when people can't load anything...

                Not going to happen.

You were seriously considering prying out used anvils and placing them into berdans???

                  TE]

While you are out shopping you might want to pick up a new a new crank starter for the model T as well.

Why advise somebody to buy an item of no real use.

                  Here is my advice:

Buy lot's of Boxer Primers while you can, they will come in handy when components dry up. They come in handy when people can't load anything...
                  There, fixed it for you

I have to say, Berdan would be great for reloading steel and other berdan brass.

Oh wait, Steel, yeah there might be a problem other than the primer.

Berdans are bigger then normal primers like everyone else has said.

Sad, toss it instead and forget about reloading it. YEAH it is sad to do that but you might end up spending more money on this project than it is worth. Unless you need to waste money, then go ahead...

Need GOOD SS pins to clean your brass? Try the new and improved model...

Not simple, but there is a number of steps. The method is shown below.

With Berdan primers, I would reload steel once -- only once and it would be the last stuff I shot.

Converting the Berdan.. weakening the brass with another hole, bad idea. Thats why all my 762 will be Boxer, now that I load.

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".
