    Reloading .223 kit??

I'm new to reloading but would this kit include almost everything I need in a press to reload .223???

And would this be considered a good kit or are there better routes to take?

I got a kit similar to this and it works for me... I am a beginner also... I am guessing the more experienced we get the better presses we would want.. but at the moment it works perfectly fine...

Works for me to load 300blk (with additional dies).
May not be ideal according to some, but I have no problems with it for the cost. You'll also need a scale, case trimmer, bullet puller, calipers, and to watch these videos: http://www.sanfranciscoliberalwithagun.com/pro1000.html

Anyone near Glendale happen to reload maybe teach me a few things in person? I don't mind traveling up to 50 miles. I'm a mature 19 year old. It's a little confusing looking at all these parts online maybe looking at them in person and showing me what each thing does will give me a better idea? I'm good hands on, I work construction and went to school for auto technician.

I could teach you a thing or two on my hand press.

You should check out the reloading clinics that are coming up. You will get hands on experience making your own ammo and meet some great people too. I went to the OC clinic, learned a lot and had a great time.

Who does these clinics? Are there any in NorCal that you know of? I have started acquiring a rig for .223 and am much better at learning in person than from reading the manual over and over

                      NO!

If you are NEW to reloading then it is MY opinion that you should NOT start with a progressive.

The true fruits of the reloading tree only sprout and get harvested once the tree has been planted properly in good soil, with good material around it and has been allowed to get established.

In English that means that in order to be a good reloader you need to be able to read and understand material, develop good habits and generally be able to spot things with your loads when things start happening.

I think that if you start on a progressive you have a better chance of making mistakes and not catching them in time and then injuring yourself or wasting a LOT of ammunition. On top of that I am not 100% certain as to how solid the Lee Pro 1000 is.

INSTEAD of the Lee Pro 1000 please STRONGLY consider this instead: https://fsreloading.com/lee-precisio...kit-90304.html

NO kit has EVERYTHING you need, but people here will gladly help you round out whatever kit you purchase with a few additional items.

I hope you have not purchased anything yet because you really should consider why it is important to first walk before you can run.

You should also get a case trimmer and bullet comparator kit.

                            I have 560 rounds of 5.56 m193 fmj 55 gr
40 of federal 5.56 and like 120 of Remington .223.

Only problem I see is that they are brand new but I'm sure a trip to the range can solve that problem? Haha

I know there is a Sacramento chapter, not sure about the Bay Area. You could PM ivanimal and see if he is closer and could teach you. Also PM BigBronco since he is leading the charge on the reloading clubs and can point you in the right direction.
