I have the single stage LNL and love it and have the Lee Turret and like it as well. I dont reload thousands of rounds at a time so the Lee might work for my needs. I am worried about the priming problem and the case feed anchor in the press stripping out. With the Hornady I am worried about all of my Lee dies not working in the press.

Any knowledge will be appreciated and yes I kone there is nothing like a Dillon.
If I were in your shoes then I would look towards the LNL AP. But take your time and save up money for all the cool accessories as well. Meanwhile, continue to load on the Lee Turret. That Lee Classic Turret is hands down hard to beat for the money. You can crank out about 150 rounds or more in about an hour

I'm just going to say this: Dillons are great machines. There are a lot more Dillon lovers than haters.

My 650 is probably the best reloading purchase I've ever made. Service and support go beyond simple warranty issues with Dillon, they help you figure out how to solve problems, guide you through setup if needed, and have even helped me figure out how to reload calibers not officially supported by their machines.

I started with the Loadmaster. It's ok, priming is a pain. Then I also got the Hornady LnL, tremendous difference.. I now periodically dust off the Loadmaster and that's about it. The Hornady is a great press, you will not be sorry. Just keep it clean of spilled powder. But you can strip down a Hornady, thoroughly clean it and be back in operation in mere minutes.
Oh, your Lee dies will work fine. Actually, I prefer the Lee dies. Decapping pins break on the Hornady dies far easier and I once had a seating stem literally snap in two.

And Hornady customer service is excellent.

I have had issues with certain lee dies not being long enough in my LNL. Like my Lee FCD not being long enough to crimp my 445 supermag. Though they work fine with regular 44 mag and 357 mag.

I own a l-n-l and love it. Switched one friend over from a lee to a l-n-l and 2 other new loaders into a l-n-l. It's a great machine and you won't be sorry.

What jakuda said he nailed it. I have the same setup. I load my pistol on the lee 1k and 223 on my 550b.

You have to load in quantity otherwise you spend all your time switching back and forth and fidgeting with the dies to get everything right and once you get it all perfect your done reloading.

So you don't have to shoot a lot to justify a progressive, I don't shoot more than 500 various rounds a month tops, but I don't spend that much time reloading to get the ammo I need.
I do this same thing. I dial my press in and then might spend a week leaving it set up and running a few hundred rounds of the same load a night until I have what I need for a good six months. Then set it up for a new load and repeat.

The LNL is a great press and I have no regrets.

Dark Mod has a video on his LnL press. Hornady is also giving 500 projectiles on certain items including their presses! Don't pass on that deal! I just got myself another Dillon XL650 but haven't dialed that in yet. I may end up selling it for the LnL or sell my SDB.

I'd sell the SDB, full progressive w/casefeed is better than micro progressive for leprechaun hands.

                        I am a newbie and I have a question:

I read the above linked .pdf and am mostly convinced that a Hornady LnL AP is for me, but I see that they are back-ordered everywhere I look(anybody have a website where they are in stock?). I then look at the Lee single Lee Pro 1000 and see that Midway has them for specific calibers relatively inexpensive.

Can the Lee pro 1000 switch calibers? If so, what is involved? Can I go from small handgun rounds(.32 H&R Mag) to large rifle rounds(.45-70) by changing parts like the Hornady? Or am I stuck with the caliber I bought?

                        Any info is appreciated.

                        Thanks,
                        John

I ordered my LNL from Midsouth Shooting Supply and paid $423 shipped. I got $175 in free bullets. I'm into my LNL for less than a Lee 1000 and it is just a fantastic machine.

I had a LNL prior to owning this one. I stupidly sold it when I thought I would rather go try other products. I'm now back to a LNL and very happy. Everyone tells you that Dillon has a no-BS warranty, and so does Hornady. I broke a primer cam bracket, called Hornady, and had a brand new one two days later. The Dillons are great machines, but the LNL gives you blue 650 quality at a Lee 1000 price.

I got a Dillon 550b and I think it will be around way after I'm not. The thing just works flawlessly. I have all the dies and tool heads {5}I need unless I get a bug for a gun in a different caliber.
Between the function of the press and Dillons' warranty, I'm set for the foreseeable future.
