    Go Hornady!!

I know theres a million threads about how X reloading manufacturer stands behind its products with excellent warranty service etc.. But today i was pleasntly surprised by the ease of it all when i called Hornady.

After hanging up, my phone displayed a 1:23 phone call, most of which was from waiting while i googled a part number. Here is the conversation Verbatim

Operator: Hornady manufacturing, where can i transfer your call?

Me: I have a warranty issue.

    Operator: hold on please

    Rings one time

    Diane: Ordering, this is Diane

Me: Hi Diane, i broke a part on my casefeeder and need it replaced

Diane: have you ordered from us before?

    Me: Yes

Diane: Can i have your name?

    Me: Dark Mod

Diane: I have your adress as 123 fake street

    Me: Yes

Diane: What part did you need?

Me: I think its called Push rod lower, hold on while i look up the part number real quick. Ok the part number is 357352.

    Diane: any other parts?

    Me: No

Diane: Ok, well get that shipped out under warranty at no charge.

    Me: Thanks

Not bad for a press i paid $350 for several years ago, and got 500 bullets with the deal.

That's Hornady. They have even sent me free stuff that had nothing to do with a warranty. No questions asked, no charge, no problem. They earn their customers.

Rcbs and dillon are the same. Ive bought used rcbs dies with broken rods or pins. I email rcbs and a day or two later i get a reply. Ok we've sent you replacement parts free of charge on warranty. All have good customer service. I think Lee is the only one ive dealt with that you have to pay to replace parts.

I had the same experience. The floor plate ejector nub on my LNL was having a hard time ejecting some shells, called them and together we determined the nub was shorter than spec and I had a new one in less than a week.

            Great company.

Have had great service from RCBS. I have two older Rock Chucker presses, and the handles hurt my old arthriric hands. I called RCBS, and asked to buy the new handle with the ball end, and they sent them right out, free of charge. One of the good ones, to be sure.

RCBS, Hornady, Dillon all have been good like that to me.

Oh heck, the first time I called them was for a part I broke due to my admitted newbie stupidity. Not only didn't the charming gentleman care how it broke, he also didn't care my warranty wasn't registered yet. He also asked if I had bent an associated part. I didn't know so he sent me one of those too. The gentleman was also very sympathetic to the plight of we California gun owners. They got my business for life.

That's awesome that Hornady stands behind their products. So few companies do these days.

When I started reloading with the LNL I broke several parts for 3 consecutive weeks. All were my fault. Each time I was sent a part within 3-4 days of calling Hornady. All free of charge. I spoke to one of the techs and he remembered me calling before and he walked me through the process of what I was doing wrong. Kudos to their customer support.
