I edited what I posted, I was sounding like an idiot. I may not have the proper rig for 1/2 MOA groups. I was shooting my 16 inch AR-15 with a red dot. I can't shoot 1/2 MOA with a red dot. Anyway, I'm loading for it now, we'll have to see what I can do. Will you settle for a one time 3 shot group? Help a fellow out here.

You should be able to achieve MOA for sure.... I haven't seen any data posted on sub MOA accuracy.... I've searched endless amounts of forums and not seen a single posting with less than a half inch group..... Prove me wrong!

Btw I think 300 blkout is my new addiction

I just found out that the Berger bullets I'm using aren't made anymore so even if I get it working, I'll have to start all over again with the Sierra MK. The small case and the fast powders should give a pretty efficient burn, I was happy with what I was seeing so far. With the 125 grain bullets the bullet was centered well into the neck with a full diameter into the case. I just finished my first handload this morning, so we'll see. I'll post when I get the results I'm looking for.

Perhaps case thickness in what used to be the shoulder area is not quite consistent.

Any opinions on whether getting reworked 5.56 is less desireable than "from the start" 300 AAC brass?
I think the variation in neck tension comes from the differences in annealing of the parent case. Iv'e noticed a lot of difference between LC 5.56 brass and other brass like Prvi .223 after trimming and sizing for 300 BLK. The LC brass typically is annealed well below the shoulder area of the original 5.56 case, and the Prvi annealing usually stops just short of the shoulder. When I run them through my Lee full length sizing die, the LC brass has pretty good neck tension, and the Prvi will often barely hold the bullet at all. I suppose at some point I should invest in some annealing equipment....
