.45 acp brass lifespan

looking for opinions on how many times you can reload 45 brass..whats the best way to inspect it for flaws?any advice or opinions welcome

You'll lose the brass before you reach a maximum reloading...

Inspect for SP 45ACP brass and look for any split cases at the same time, I do this after tumbling.

Before reloading inspect for craacks, etc. You will never have one that will get to long or need trimming. You will lose them first.

I tend to load in batches sorted by headstamp and once fired or multiple uses. Have fun

.45acp brass will split first, after many hundreds of reloads. It is a low pressure round.

I've never had a 45 case go bad. Some I've loaded at least 50 times. Like said above, I lose them long before they become unusable. I love reloading 45 and always recommend it for new reloaders. Its a very low pressure round and you almost never have to worry about brass issues. Wide range of powders and bullets make it very attractive.

There is a number of times I think that a .45 case can be loaded, I think it is just slightly less then a figure 8 on it's side.

In other words, WHAT EVERYONE ELSE said.

And be sure to keep your SP .45 seperated from your LP .45...

You really don't have to look for split cases, you can hear them. After tumbling, while you're shaking out the media, you'll hear a "tinny" sound that's different than just the brass. There's a split case in there somewhere
I don't think the headstamp wears off, it just gets pounded flat.

Number of times 45ACP can be reloaded? A lot if you can find all your brass. I loose more brass then I have to toss because of splits/cracks. That stuff goes flying and who knows where it will end up. If I can find 75% of my brass I am real happy. Usually its 50% or less.

Damn you guys. I just started learning to reload .357mag. Now for some odd reason I want to load .45acp, too, and I dont even own a gun for it. So, are there any other pistol calibers that share the seemingly unlimited reloading possibilities like the .45 acp?
