He lied.... Fed American eagle has brass stamped fc, I've loaded CBC brass but only as blaster ammo not for a match.

i got shafted into buying some MAgtech 150g fmj. ended up using it to get an idea of where my zero was before putting good rounds down range. it shot a 3-4in group (my savage shoots .5 all day with my loads) and was about 6in low compared to my weakest hand load. 40g rl-15 with a 168sm. useless.

Just meximatch it and be happy. CBC is fine brass (or at least the 5.56 brass is decent), the primer is fine. Pull the bullet, take an average of 10 rounds at powder weight, rethrow the powder to .3gr or less spread, and top off with a Sierra Matchking of the same weight as the pulled FMJ. Keep the FMJ bullets for blasting ammo loads. That will give you ammo at least as good as Federal Match.

So Im wondering what exact ammo I have. Kind of important being Im planning on using this ammo for a LR match sometime this summer. Being my hand loads still need some tuning before they are comp ready and I need to get some ballistics info from it to get a DOPE card up and running at least to get me ball parked for the event..

Get some real match ammo if you want to shoot a 600yd match.
You,could fire those cases and then reload them and they would be fine.
