I doubt you can get the same out come (speed) with a $50 press. Although Lee's press may come close.

I'm not brand loyal at all, I buy whatever that works the best for least amount of money. I recently added a Lee Classic single stage press to my collection. Honestly, I think for $100 (Lee), it works as good as RCBS's $150 Rock Chucker.

Ill give you my honest thoughts here:

Ive wanted a dillon forever, but couldnt afford it so i went with the LNL. When i got enough cash to buy a dillon, i thought long and hard on it, and in the end decided to buy a casefeeder and bullet feeder for my LNL instead.

I had troubles with the bullet feeder though, so that soured my view on the LNL.

Again i come into enough cash to buy a full dillon setup, and am about to pull the trigger, when i decide to give the LNL one last shot. I performed a few tweaks and now it functions flawlessly.

I no longer feel the need to buy a dillon, and will put that $1700 investment towards components.

IF SET UP CORRECTLY, it performs the same as a Dillon. Better in some respects and worse in some, but it all evens out. It comes down to the fact they both will produce the same ammo at the same rate, with the same amount of malfunctions (If set up correctly).

The hornady is just cheaper, and probably requires more dialing in to get it running perfectly.

The Dillon seems to just work (although im sure even Dillons require SOME tweaking to get running), but you a large premium for that. Mostly in the form of caliber conversions.

        Thanks for the response ...

I've been loading multiple calibers for a couple years with my Rock chucker but its becoming monotonous. I'm leaning towards a progressive, now that I have been seasoned in loading on a single stage.im just debating a progresive, it would be good for my pistol loading but the way i do rifle i could only see myself using the progressive to charge and seat.

looks like Your LNL is zeroed in!
