Must haves - kinetic bullet puller

I finally decided to get one after all these years. Had some cabelas points and threw it on the order. Think it was like $20 or so. had some old 45 reloads that I'd forgotten what I'd loaded them with and did t feel like shooting them to find out. Took a few minutes but pulled 50 and saved the primed brass and bullets.

If your starting out reloading or even a seasoned vet, really a must have. Shoulda got one a lot sooner

Just thought I'd share that. Hope it helps.

I have used one for years. Finally chipped off the end and RCBS sent me a new one free.
Also should have a collet style bullet puller and a stuck case remover
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I like the FA ones better than the RCBS ones. But, I do like my RCBS collet puller.

You can use a standard shell holder to hold the round instead of fighting with the universal retainer and the O ring. (Franklin Armory)

LoL@Oring... Yes it is nice, but I do not think it is really needed, that plastic cap keeps things pretty tidy yes? Oh I could be wrong, in any event, using a shell holder does sound appealing.

I have the blue one. I do not think that it is right that the company will replace it for you free of charge, but I am glad they do. It just seems like it is a hammer meant to hammer things, you know? Eventually it SHOULD break...

Of course it helps. But this is Calguns, so someone will create a strawman and flame you for it anyway.

Anyway, a kinetic puller was on my initial reloading gear order. Very handy.

I mistakenly slightly overcharged 200 .45 ACP loads. Thank goodness for my RCBS puller, it has saved my dumb butt more than once.

+1 on using the shell holder. Also, I found that putting a piece of rubber, foam or cardboard in the bottom will keep from damaging the bullet.

yep, shell holders work better than those universal ring thingies, I just hate it when I forget the shell holder and leave it in the bullet puller. I freak out looking for it around the press/reloading area and realize i used it last while pulling bullets.

I like using it on the unfired ammo I find while scrounging for brass at the range. I use a Lyman bullet puller and it seems to work best when I pound it on dense wood.

That is one reason to buy RCBS. The warr and service!

I use a piece of an ear plug in the bottom of mine.

Yes been loading a very long time.

Ha, an RCBS kinetic puller was among the first things I bought when I started, 'cause I knew I was going to be making mistakes...

Tried the ear plug and it was a perfect fit and won't let any powder get left it the puller. Thx
