Fiocchi Small Pistol Primers

Has anyone ever used Fiocchi Small Pistol Primers?
like the ones sold here: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/159...-boxes-of-1500


Can you give me your thoughts on them? Good/bad.....

My buddy just got a case of 12,000 in of the Fiocchi SPP from Grafs last week, for just over $300 delivered to California.

He sent me some photos and they come in 150 count sleeves and 1500 ct. cartons and 8 cartons to a wooden crate, for the 12,000 ct. case.

He said that they're a bit wider than US primers, which isn't necessarily a bad thing and he stated that it stated on the box: Made In Italy.

He hasn't fired any, so I can't touch upon that aspect, sorry.

Fiocchi is a pretty respectible ammo company going back 150 years at least.

wider as in the boxes are wider? I thought primers are supposed to be to spec, so WIDER does not work for the primer itself.

I've loaded these primers for 9mm. After running Federal Match SPPs, these Fiocci's are a bit tighter when hand priming. Same brass, but those who hand prime, you know the "feel" of a properly fitting primer and one that needs a tighter grip on the hand press. I clean my primer pockets and none are crimped. This is how I know Fiocci's are a bit wider than Federal and CCI primers. My Fiocci primed loads have gone bang each time so performance is reliable.

I ran a few thousand through my Dillon 650 & will avoid them in the future. They all went bang, but I had many jams in my feed tube. I am also annoyed by the 150 count packaging....My primer tube holds 100. I prefer Winchester, but Tulammo has got me through the drought!

I burned through a few boxes of them about 5 or 6 years ago loading .38spl and 9mm. I can remember having no problems with them but I thing that troysland is correct. They fit tight in most brass....

I haven't used them but every other fiocchi product I have used I have been happy with.
