It's only a matter of time before that plays out everywhere.

I think to self, we're buying all these components, and I'm as guilty as the next guy, but are we shooting this many components (as many as we're buying)? Nope! We're buying way faster than we're shooting.

The shortage has to end when people feel they have enough on hand. I expect people to dump some stuff, at some point when a pork chop looks better than a box of primers. Thus, I believe the price spikes are temporary.

The Walmart near me has a case 8x that size, with the same amount of ammo in it. The shelves have more dust on them than ammo.

That is the problem, there is NO shortage, just some hackers managed to have all shipments get dumped in Nebraska...

I tried to stop off in nebraska this morning after I left the farmer's market. I went all up and down the 91 to the 405 and the 5 and then just had to exit ventura and make a u-turn to take the 60 back to the 15 and van buren... I did not find any exit for nebraska... I think tomtom gave me bad location. Tomorrow I will take the 215 to the 30 to the 330 and then drive down the 38 and see if I can find nebraska over there.

I don't expect our situation to improve greatly inside the walls of the walking lobotomy that is California.
Many are going to try to defer the cost risk from a possible tax on ammo and components for as long as we can based on what we can afford...balanced against the current prices and such.

Once employed I might decide to take off a day or two around the weekend and make a trip out of the states in a box truck to pick up some supplies for some folks in so cal... Could be fun, but I gotta find my way out of the state first. The 15 to the 91 to the 405 aint cutting it...
