I did not go, but maybe I will show up this next metting at 5guys. So I can show the guys that I am still alive and kicking. I will try June 5 or the 12th. I will double check the date later.

Hello all - I thought I'd blow the dust off this forum to say howdy, and hopefully become active here. Quick intro - learned to reload from my older brother in the mid 1970s with "whack 'em" Lee loaders for .308. & 22-250, and an oddball one-off custom die caliber (.222 Rem Mag case with the shoulder pushed back in a la .222 Rem yielding a looong neck) - the maker called is 222.5. Anyway, now I load that oddball still, along with .223, 6.5 Creed, 7-08, .308, .32 ACP, .38 Smokeless Rimless (Daddy of the .38 Super), 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Mag, .40 S&W, .44 Rem Mag, .45 ACP, 20 gauge, and 12 gauge.

I'm in the North part of Elk Grove, and out in the Fair Oaks area often. I'm a member of the FSC (Sac Valley) but also go shooting on Nat'l Forest & BLM land, and even Spenceville when I feel daring. 😅

I'll periodically attempt to check back here for goings-ons (IF CalGuns lets me log on!)

PS - if you have any leads on where I can get any of the following powders, I'd appreciate it!

• Alliant Green Dot
• Alliant Clay Dot
• Alliant Promo
• Alliant American Select

Do you have any recommendations on where to buy powder locally (Bay Area to Sac), or should I just order online? I need some IMR 4198 or 3031 for 45-70.

Sorry, I do not. It's so hit-n -miss (mostly miss) that it's not worth the time driving around looking for powder. If I'm driving by a shop and have time, I stop in though. I just ordered Hi-Skor 700-x online from https://sportsmansreloads.com/ for a reasonable price - no tax & free shipping.
