    There ya go!

Boy I am glad I thought of that...

Hey, we can use FAKE powder instead. Just use SAND or LEAD SHOT to mimic the powder or cream of wheat or whatever. Then folks can still play with the scales, they can still use the trickler and see how things work and it is just an inert material...

PLUS the ATF will have to find a really good reason to enter the property this time and shoot all the caged dogs and those 4 cats...

Just remember to NOT crimp and you can reuse components...

Of course, it is still fun to build working ammo that you can shoot, but this also cuts down liability in making ammo. Now we can also open it up to 80 people at once instead of the 12 we were doing... :D

Wow I didn't even know this thread was still going. A lot has definitely changed in the last year. So dumb question, what exactly requires you to have an 06, supplying components for the students, or the students using your equipment?

My answer is the same as a punchline to a joke I like to tell.

What do you get if you cross an elephant and a rhino?

            F**K if I know...

ATF never talked to me so as long as Bronco wears a good disguise and comes over, it is all good.

Can we get a list of people that would like to do a reloading class in the Inland Empire? If there is enough people that are interested I can talk to my local gun shop and ask if I can give a class on the subject in their shop. Everyone would be welcome but the class would be given in Riverside.

ATF has explicitly told me if we charge for the class even just to cover the cost of components then we are in effect manufacturing ammo with out a license.

Further at this point all the tooling has been stored for at least two years. Minor rust has begun to take place. In estimation I would have to put in about 15 to 25 hours to get it all ready for a class again. Not including prepping all the components dies and etc., loading it all in to the truck and traveling with it. Then packing it all back.

I am only available on Sundays for a class, not to mention that is my only day together with my wife.

My work situation has also changed that I could work on Sunday with only a few days notice. simply cannot commit to a specific date for a class at the moment.

Sorry that is just the way it is.

The last class I offered only one student showed. The fee for the class was only a $50.00 donation to a gun rights group.

Then we need to do it stronger, faster, longer and uncut!

I had a phone call from the DOJ telling me that I was not allowed to manufacture a pistol in CA... Funny that the laws do not say that. I guess she had not heard of the SSE portion at that time...

I aint gonna push you into anything but if you need some help cleaning some of it/wiping it a bit, get here a little early and I will offer some assistance

I hear you though, nobody likes to be put in the crosshairs because it can be costly to get out from them.

So how about this... PM inbound...

The only clear path ATF gave me was if it was the equipment and components were property of the student.

Im down to run a class in Riverside if there is enough people to show up like at least 5. This would have to be a purely instructional class. I could use my own equipment. Students after instruction could use my equipment to make a few rounds to get the hang of what is involved BUT not take anything home unless I could get the shop to maybe donate the items. I dont know I am down to help out anyway I can. I could only do this on a Saturday.
