Hey guys, I inherited some vintage .30-06 AP black tipped ammo which I am in the process of selling. I have offers if I ship it (staying in CA) but I don't know if I am legally allowed to do that. I know I would have to do UPS or Fedex but is it ok to do AP that way? Thanks in advance!

All you gotta do is make sure its packaged so it does not move around .. make sure packaging is very tight, no wiggle room, tape it up real good (with the types of tape allowed of course) slap a couple of those special stickers on the packaging and off it goesComment

i looked around as well. from what i gathered in research, besides the above info, is that the box needs to have the ammo label stickered on and it can't be shipped to la city/sac city... the big population cities are a no go. la county is ok but la city is not.Comment

Question?
Hello everyone,
I didn't want to clog up the sub-forum with another "how to ship ammo" thread, so I thought I could just ask my question here.
I will be shipping just a 100 rounds of ammo for the first time. I have decided to go through my local UPS hub. I have the proper packing material and it's destination will be just outside of a large city.
Q: Regarding the ORM-D labels here, do they have to say "Cartridges, Small Arms" on the label or can I just use the labels (here) which states "Consumer Commodity" ? Insurance on my package is probably a good idea, I have done some research and this whole shipping ammo thing is turning out to be a pain in the neck.

just print on paper from google images and cover completely with clear tape on the box..
I put them on at least three sides although almost nothing I have received has had more than one
Okay, thank you for the link and fast reply.
haha funny guy! I ended up trading this ammo for a different caliber. I see your in Oceanside, do you ever shoot at Iron Sights? I just picked up a new Sig 2022 from them last week. Love it!!The Right to Arm bearsComment
