    MidwayUSA packing is terrible!

I ordered the "Redding National Match Die Set" for 300 Blackout from Midway USA a week ago. I received the package today and was extremely annoyed!
The Redding Die case was in a flimsy shipping envelope and the box was wide open. All three dies were floating around banging against each other.
After inspecting the dies there's a lot of cosmetic damage and one of the threads is chipped. WTF!
A simple rubber band around the case would've done the trick. Considering I paid for shipping, and the dies are $150.00, I expect top notch packing. It's not like Midway can't afford packing foam.

Ok, ... I think I'm done ventilating. . Just a heads up, if you purchase from MidwayUSA, make sure to request good packing.

The last thing I ordered from them was some match 22lr. They just threw the boxes of ammo in a shipping box. When I got the package one of the ammo boxes had opened and there were loose rounds all over the box. I was pretty annoyed as well. These rounds were lubed so I had to wipe each round before re-boxing it.

    Idiots.

I've always had great experiences dealing with their CS.... I would shoot them an email and they'll probably give you some type of coupon for your next order...

Yes I do hope you contacted Midway before you complained to the peanut gallery. If you didn't then you are not as upset as you say.

I order a lot of stuff over the internet through retailers and eBay and yes there have been time where the packing was on the shotty side and I have contacted the seller. If there was a issue with broken parts the seller has always stepped up. Midway is one of the best for customer service I've dealt with.

I've had this problem with Midway before as well. One time I had a whole bottle of solvent leak all over my ammo.

A call or email to Midway should make it (mostly) right, their CS is very good as others have stated. Obviously it's annoying to have to deal with the hassle of a return, though. I wish they would take a little more care in their packing in the first place.

My packaging has always been nice. Try giving them a call.

I never had a problem with Midway's packaging. Maybe it's just some bonehead in the shipping department. Give them a call. I'm sure they'll replace it.

Yup. Their packaging of ammo blows. Torn boxes and 40cal strewn everywhere on my last order.

Yes, The little green blow up bags that they never seem to use enough of suck. What's more disturbing to me are the shipping costs.

Same experience here except the corner of the shipping box was also damaged and my girlfriend found some .22lr in the front yard.

I have good luck with almost everything I've ordered from them, and the one time I received a broken spring in a spring kit they sent me an entire new kit without even asking for the old one back.

I received an order in a box that wasn't sealed very well. When I picked it up a small part fell out. After looking through the invoice I noticed another small item was missing. I called and they sent out a new one. I'm pretty happy with their CS, so like others have said, give them a call.

Interesting thread. I order from them occasionally and everything I've ever received was well packed.

I hope I don't have any of the experiences described.

Their CS is much better than their packing. Here's what I've found over the years with Midway:
                              1. They generally ship pretty quickly.
                              2. If you are ordering only one or two small items, they tend to ship REALLY quickly, but in padded envelopes.
                              3. If you are ordering larger items, they box them and throw in a couple of plastic "balloons" for packing. Things usually bounce around freely.
                              4. Their customer service rocks and their return policy is excellent.
