Sounds like you have a good handle on things. For .40 I just bought the redding grx carbide sizing die to put my brass through. After reading on here a bunch that seemed to get the best reviews. I haven't received it yet so can't comment personally. I've had my dillon 650 for a couple months now and will have everything to start loading by next weekend. I'm using hp38. As for primers and bullets, check what you find for sale against the load data in your manuals and pick one. They aren't easy to come by these days, I ended up buying a pound of powder and a thousand cci primers from a nice calguns member willing to spare some for me. As for bullets I kept trying to order some and everytime I did they would be sold out, ended up ordering a thousand berrys from tjconevera.com.

My buddy has the same kit. It works really well. He says it's not that hard to get 150-200 rounds in an hour. You would never get that from a single stage. Good buy. Powder in the 40 I like Titegroup. Low charge weights fill a good amount of the case. Try Extreme or Berry's. You can order direct.

Just wanted to point out again the reason I suggested the single stage over the turret was because then he could afford a tumbler and it may be more useful later down the road. Single stage + tumbler should be faster than Manual clean + turrent press. The only real difference I can see between a turret and a single stage is that you have to load the shell into the shell holder more times, it's the same number of pulls on the handle though. A progressive is ideal for pistol calibers.
