Help! I Need to Identify This Bullet Casting Mold.

I came across this and it appears to be unused. Marked "No.2 DISSTON U.S.A." on both handles. Hand engraved 26 on bottom of each half of the mold blocks. Appears to be.45 cal round nose with one lube grove. It is a five bullet mold block.

The "No.2 DISSTON U.S.A." markings are just for the handles. It looks like the manufacturer sourced handles made for files. They are sized by numbers, those being #2's so that won't help any as to who made the mold.

Doesn't look like a lube groove, more like a crimp groove.

I have a lyman 4 cavity mold for black powder that casts the same bullet style, can you give me the size and weight.

Whats the dia of the base/heel of the bullet it will cast?

"Hi Tom, near as I can find, these molds were made in Italy. They were made for black powder 36 and 44 revolvers. I have one in .36 and have been shooting a few in a Rem .36. They shoot ok. I know they were marketed by Navy Arms at one time, but could have been sold by several companies, it's hard to tell. They cast OK, but not great. The sprue plate doesn't swing completely free making the boolits stick at times."

Gentlemen, I measured it and came up with .442.

Any idea what it may be worth?

They aren't real high quality, with .442 the base at minimum should be lapped to open it up.
Its a cap & ball only bullet no lube grooves of any sort.
