I know they CAN work.... But swaging is ideal if you know how to set up your swager properly.
I've seen pictures of the butchered brass; there are people without a clue. That's why I mentioned 2 seconds on the tool, that's all it takes. You get two little chips and it's done. I wish more people had the intelligence to look at a piece of factory brass, without a crimp, and use the tools to get that look.

I looked into swagging tools, Dillion too expensive, RCBS was about $30 and then they came out with their Dillion ripoff for about $80. CH4 had one for $20.

Then I read about all the sorting and having ten piles on the bench with all the various headstamps. Processing rifle brass is already tedious enough without all that sorting. I had countersinks, tried those and the primers went in with no problems..

I've ruined more brass by over swaging just setting up my swager than I have ever ruined using a $5 crimp remover cutting tool chucked in my drillpress. Also, with the cutter, I don't have to sort my plinking brass.
If you have to sort brass its probably not set up properly

Please educate me. How does the 600 work without sorting? I have to adjust it every time I have a different batch with a different case head thickness. I don't see anyway around this but, I'm willing to listen.
