Just wanted to notify everyone I purchased the Lyman Universal Case Trimmer with Power adaptor. Want to thank everyone for their suggestions especially ExtremeX. I was very interested in purchasing the CTS trimmer, but began to think it would become very pricey as I plan to load various calibers in the future

I have not found headstamp to mean squat during trimming. Only thing that matters is that the cases are properly resized prior to trimming, whether you use a collet trimmer that indexes off case head or one that indexes on shoulder. As long as sizing is consistent, the trim will be consistent.

the possum hollow was a huge upgrade from the lee one i wore out i still use it for 308 as i never do more than a lot of 100

with 223 i like bigger lots

Get the power attachment. You can attach an electric screwdriver or drill and it goes good!

I have a Hornady Cam Lock Case Trimmer. It's alright. I have the power drill adapter on it but it came while I am inbetween trimming sessions so I haven't tried it. Will try it out to see how it does. If I'm still unimpressed, I'm probably going to sell it and find something else.

Maybe splurge on a Giraud, heh heh

Its a good trimmer, my friend prefers it over his lymann.

I made my own power adapter: remove the handle,took a piece of fuel tubing that was a very tight fit over the shaft, stuck a stud in the other end and chucked it into my drill. The fuel line is flexible enough to allow me easier positioning of the drill, but is stiff enough to apply enough pressure to get a VERY consistent trim. Takes about 1.5-2 seconds to trim, then another few seconds to debur and chamfer. Works well enough that I can't justify an upgrade yet, plus it can do any caliber.

The stainless Wilson is really nice too, just pricey. I would love to try one. This is the one I would get though.

The Hornady has a micrometer like adjustment too, but it's not numbered. Plus you get free bullets
